Three reasons why Polyfest is a good thing:

• Polyfest is a competition of schools, they embrace their culture by dancing and the audience decides who wins. This can help some people learn more about their culture, and be proud to be who they are.
• Polyfest is something EVERYONE can go to. No matter what nationality you are, you can come to Polyfest and learn more about different cultures. This can lead to understanding why other cultures do what they do.
• Polyfest is a place where different cultures come together in one place.
• Polyfest alone is just a great place to hang out with friends and family. Most of my classmates in class came to Polyfest, and managed to meet up with one another. Which is

Polyfest is a individual cultural event held here in New Zealand. Polyfest is a competition of schools, they embrace their culture by dancing and the audience (and judges) decides who wins. Different schools come to Polyfest and do two items for the Public. I think Polyfest is a great event for everyone, so here are some reasons to prove to you why Polyfest is a good thing!

Firstly, Polyfest is one of the most Popular competitions for Polynesian Houses. This is an opportunity for all Polynesians to perform for the Public. This can possibly bring different cultures together. Which is a very good thing because, many cultures think differently from others. So if they come to other Polynesian Stages, they might have a change in mind. Maybe they’ll think differently about Pacific people. What do you think?

Secondly, Polyfest is a place where EVERYONE can go. No matter what background you come from, or what skin tone you are, it honestly doesn't matter. I think this is a very good thing because, it’s a great opportunity to taste a variety of cultural foods. There was an Indian Stage, which was very exciting because I haven’t tasted food like theirs before. So when we brought this meal from the Indian Stage, I was intrigued with the taste. It was both spicy and Salty. I admit I wouldn’t want to have this meal again but it was interesting to eat this meal.

Lastly, Polyfest alone, is just a great place to hang out, or to go to. It has everything you need to keep busy. It has a variety of foods and drinks, many different performances and special appearances. This is great because you get to see a bunch of your favourite idols.

In Conclusion, I think Polyfest is an event full of fun, for the whole family. I’m telling you, you're not regret going to Polyfest next year. I hope this piece of Writing helps shows you, that Polyfest is in fact a good thing.
