Creating a story map is a way to help you understand and summarize the stories you read.  When you make a story map, you identify the basic story elements, such as the characters, setting, conflict, and important plot events.

The next day Min brings a coin that her grandpa gave her that helps her with her fear. |

As she reads her poem she feels as if she could read in front of a stadium. |

Climax: 
(The exciting part of the story when everything comes together) 
When Min reads her poem and everyone is so interested and hooked into it. | 
Resolution: 
(What happens after the conflict is resolved) 
When Ms Anderson gives Min advice and Min suddenly feels confident. |
